South Region Sourcing Manager
Fundamental Mission:
This position is responsible for the entire purchasing scope for all assigned businesses, while managing activities and communications to insure that like requirements across North American Vallourec businesses are leveraged at the highest possible level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
* Implement and manage sourcing organizations and processes to insure cost-effective purchasing support for all requirements, in compliance with company’s general policies and procedures.
* Create, manage, and implement sourcing strategic in line with the businesses strategic targets, Vallourec North America and Vallourec Group Purchasing Policies.
* Ensure collaborative coordination with all Divisions and Global sourcing buyers
* Provide process and leadership in identifying and addressing purchasing synergies across all assigned businesses and Vallourec North America businesses.
* Establish annual sourcing goals that are in line with and support the company, North America and Corporate goals and budgets.
* Report to business and Corporate Management regarding sourcing efficiency and contribution to Index and budget target achievements.
* Implement, communicate and ensure compliance to Purchasing Policies that define company policy as it relates to the Sourcing function and processes.
* Support supplier management activity as outlined in the Sourcing Policy.
* Manage supply base and supplier performance evaluation.
* Provide leadership for Continuous Improvement within the purchasing processes and organizational structure.
* Manage human resources to insure continued skill enhancement, constructive performance management and actionable succession plans for key sourcing professionals.
* Interface with internal customers to ensure quality, competitive cost, and on-time delivery of all products and services.
* Represent Sourcing on special teams and committees involving the organization or related areas.
* Complete various tasks as assigned by company and department management.
* Comply with all EHS rules required for the work environment.

Education/Experience
* A minimum of an undergraduate degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or other related discipline; MBA preferred.
* a minimum of 6 to 8 years experience in industrial environment with ever increasing responsibilities;
* 3 to 5 years supervisory experience is preferred
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to provide leadership and vision to diverse group of sourcing and management professionals to achieve desired results among various businesses.
* Ability to persuade or convince others to support an idea, agenda and direction from the department.
