Seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, implementation, and delivery of the GXO data lake initiative.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end execution of the strategic data lake initiative, with a specific focus on aligning project outcomes with product goals to meet organizational objectives.

The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to achieve project milestones and deliver a robust and scalable data lake solution.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for the data lake, ensuring alignment with overarching product goals


* Clearly define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, emphasizing product-driven outcomes


* Negotiate with business stakeholders to find win-win solutions to their requirements keeping in mind the cost and resource constraints


* Ensure standards are maintained via a well-defined governance model, raising any issues to management and/or stakeholders as required


* Infuse agile methodologies into project management practices, promoting adaptability and responsiveness.

Coordinate sprints and iterations focusing on delivering incremental value to the evolving product.


* Manage the successful delivery of projects and deliver to the agreed scope, quality, time, budget, and customer expectations


* Generate and manage the project plan (milestones), resource plan (people), budget, and risk register (identify, analyse and quantify) and interlock with third party suppliers as required


* Manage project budget during the full lifecycle of a project


* Implement cost-effective strategies and regularly update stakeholders on financial aspects.


* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address challenges proactively.
