Disposition Quality Engineer
• Advanced knowledge of 6 Sigma tools, statistics, and GD&T
• Design of Experiments training
• QS/TS/IATF 16949 Internal auditing training
• Stamping/moulding/assembly plant experience
• Volume Graphics experience programming is highly desired
• ASQC Certification (CQE)
• Metrology knowledge: Understand CT Scanning Capabilities and Limitations and understand all potential measurement methods of components.
• Strong understanding of electrical connector part function
• Familiarity with 3D and 2D tolerance analysis and plastic manufacturing processes
Our Team
The Disposition Quality Engineer is responsible for providing support during the process of new product development.
This position plays a crucial role in the initial review of product drawings and the development of measurement strategies for the product.
Our Quality team works closely with the product features to ensure that the new product tool is validated.
The Disposition Quality Engineer is responsible for managing customer requirements and supporting New Product Development projects through early collaboration with design and manufacturing partners.
What You Will Do
Create a customer dimensional report according to requirements defined by AQPs per customer-specific expectations or industry specifications.
Assist plant & AQP needs according to project expectations.
Responsible for Advanced Product Quality Planning Disposition Phase activities as defined in the PDP Product Development Procedure.
Owner of the following PDP deliverables: measurement plans, measurement strategy delivery, disposition lead.
Significant support in qualification plans, and PPAP package.
May take direction from more senior department members for critical or large programs
Involved in and drive the development of Qualification Plans, metrology processes, etc.
Will lead disposition activities driving decision-making of changing tools, products, or drawings.
Follow product development and department procedures for quality and meet appropriate standards.
Highlights gaps when discovered and suggests solutions to correct them
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related field or related experience.
• 3-5 years in Automotive Quality Engineering or related field in a new product introduction environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
Required Experience:
2-3 years experience in the Product Development field of electrical connector systems in either design and/or dispositioning.
Needs to have experience in product development and design.
• Strong organization skills to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload.
Job is NOT TASKED-BASE, the job function is one of coaching and supporting the needs to the Product Development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and use of techniques (5-why, IS/IS NOT, fishbone diagram, etc)
• PC skills.
