Job Title: Material Handler Supervisor (Weekend Availability Required)
About the Position
The Material Handler Supervisor is responsible for the flow of donated goods throughout the production area, supporting the individual production areas with incoming material and removal of salvage and trash, generating revenue to support the Mission of Seattle Goodwill.
Shift Availability: 12:30-8:30pm
Salary Range: $22.50 / hour
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
* Coordinate the efforts of the Dock and Staging staff with production areas, transportation, and the Production Manager.
* Maintain a good working relationship with other production departments.
* Write periodic performance reviews for all reporting personnel.
* Audit quality decisions of material moving to salvage and to the production floor.
* Maintain a clean work environment.
* Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; assist in safety training of employees; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
* Oversee baling of salvage textiles.
* Oversee scrap metal operation.
* Requisition production supplies as needed and maintain inventories on hand.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Consistent and safe execution of duties associated with forklift operation when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities :
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate.
