The Real Estate and Workplace division is looking for a Security Coordinator to join our Safety & Security team.

This position is responsible for the safeguard of the Weatherby Healthcare staff, building equipment, assets and, intellectual property along with responding to on premise medical emergencies.

This position provides outstanding communication, awareness training and problem-solving skills.

The role will report to the Manager of Safety & Security.

Responsibilities


* Maintains the Safety & Security of employees, visitors, and guest of CHG by monitoring security desk consoles (i.e., employee access control computer, CCTV video monitors), performing periodic campus patrols, enforces building access, parking policies and procedures, and enables and disables building access badges and keys.


* Supports and maintains long and short term companywide strategic safety and security initiatives, conducts safety and security education and awareness training, and participates in CHG new hire orientation training.


* Monitors CHG Healthcare compliance with federal, state, and local fire/life safety regulatory agency standards.

Executes and participates in improving safety and security best practices and establishes and maintains liaison with local law enforcement and emergency agencies.


* Prepares reports in accordance with policies for the CHG headquarters including but not limited to incident reports, visitor logging, and access control reports.


* Secondary function to assist in the daily operation of the office with room set ups, floor moves, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications


* Understanding of Safety and Security principles and practices


* Ability to detect, deter, and responds to threats.


* Experience responding to emergency and crisis situations.


* Good working knowledge of security operations, conflict management and safety practices in a business environment


* High School Diploma or equivalent


* Ten years of professional experience in Safety & Security or related discipline


* First Aid experience

Preferred


* Bachelor's degree in health and safety, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Industrial Security or related discipline or equivalent experience


* 5-10 of experience where primary job function was in law enforcement, emergency response or emergency management.


* CPR, AED certification a plus
