Job Title: Director of Staff Development

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Staff Development to join our team.

The Director of Staff Development will play a key role in training and developing our staff to ensure they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the highest quality care to our residents.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of both our staff and residents.

Responsibilities:


* Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all staff members, including nursing, therapy, and support staff.


* Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to educate staff on best practices, regulatory requirements, and facility policies and procedures.


* Evaluate staff performance and identify areas for improvement, providing coaching and support as needed.


* Collaborate with department managers to assess training needs and develop targeted training initiatives.


* Monitor staff certifications and licensures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.


* Serve as a resource for staff members seeking professional development opportunities and continuing education.


* Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in healthcare practices, incorporating new knowledge into training programs as appropriate.

Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.


* Current RN license in good standing.


* Minimum of 3 years of experience in staff development or a related role in a healthcare setting.


* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in long-term care and rehabilitation.


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate staff members.


* Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of successfully managing projects and initiatives.
