Social Worker, Specialty Care - Oncology

Work Schedule :

These are full-time, 1.0 FTE day shift positions.

Shifts are primarily scheduled Monday - Friday, no weekends required.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Social Worker within Oncology to:


* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patient engagement and positive health outcomes.


* Evaluate complex patient and family situations which have legal, ethical, and psychosocial components.


* Network proactively with and demonstrate a working knowledge of community resources.


* Engage patient/family in the treatment and decision-making process with respect to patient rights, principles of confidentiality, respect for patient privacy, and right to self-determination.

Positions available in the specialty areas include:


* Brain and Lung Cancers


* GI/GU, Esophageal and Pancreatic Cancers


* Breast Center

Education :

Minimum - Masters Degree in Social Work

Work Experience :

Preferred - Two (2) years prior hospital based social work experience

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum - Licensed in the State of Wisconsin with one of the following within 90 days of hire:


* Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW)


* Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW)


* Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
