Pediatric Physical Therapy Resident

Work Schedule :

100% FTE, 40 hours per week.

Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with the occasional weekend rotation required.

We are seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist Resident to:



* Attend and participate in didactic education designed to advance clinical reasoning and pattern recognition in pediatric physical therapy.


* Challenge their own clinical decision making through constructive feedback in didactic units and case presentations.


* Form alliances with patients and their families with the common goal of optimizing function for pediatric patients with new and chronic impairments.


* Collaborate with other providers in coordinating patient and family care across multiple services.


* Serve as instructional assistant for the University of Wisconsin Doctor of Physical Therapy pediatric courses.


* Gain experiences across four pediatric practice settings: Acute Care, Early Childhood Intervention, Outpatient and the school system.


* Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one's own practice and educate others.

Education :

Minimum - Graduate of an accredited, entry-level degree program (Baccalaureate or higher) in Physical Therapy is required.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum - Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin is required.

Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator is required.
