* Firefighter IV/Apprentice Firefighter II/Paramedic/ Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic with 2 - 3 years of Experience: $90,848


* Journey Firefighter I/Paramedic/Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic with 3+ years of Experience: $96,871

The Greeley Fire Department is seeking qualified applicants with two or more years of career firefighter experience to establish an eligibility list for the position of full-time Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic.

The City of Greeley Fire Department provides an ‘All Hazards’ emergency response for a population of over 115,000 citizens and covers a response area of 64 square miles.

The Department responds to over 16,000 emergency calls from seven fire stations and is comprised of 133 personnel.

The Department provides Advanced Life Support Service at the Paramedic level and partners with an ambulance contractor who provides transport services.

Firefighter/Paramedics perform individually and/or as a member of a team and participate in activities in the following areas:  combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires; responding to emergency medical and traffic accident calls and other related public assistance activities; performing routine custodial maintenance of fire department equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

Minimum Requirements:


* 21 years of age at the time of application deadline.


* High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).


* A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a firefighter (within the last 12 months) with a career fire service agency (state, county, municipal or special district) whose primary responsibility is fire protection and emergency medical service.


* Successful job performance and no prior disciplinary action within the prior two years of experience (Copies of performance evaluations may be required as part of the background verification).


* Possession of the following certifications (Copies must be provided at time of application): 
1.

Current State of Colorado or National Registry Paramedic Certification.
2.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider.
3.

Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider card.
4.

Firefighter II (Must meet ProBoard/IFSAC Accreditation).
5.

Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations (Must meet ProBoard/IFSAC Accreditation).
