Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Production Supervisor in our Medium Density Fiberboard mill in Mt Jewett, PA.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a wood products production team to work injury-free/incident free in a continuous manufacturing environment consistent with our Principle Based Management (PBM) philosophy and framework.

The Production Supervisor will work on the 3 rd Shift.

Below is specific information about the work schedule and shift.


* Shift: 3 rd Shift


* Hours: 9:45pm - 6:00am EST


* Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, (potential for limited weekend work)

What You Will Do


* Supervise/coordinate production efforts that drive improvement in all associated work processes affected EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs


* Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution


* Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards


* Monitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency


* Assist with troubleshooting and solving production issues

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Two or more years of supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment, OR Three or more years of MDF or Lumber manufacturing experience


* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PC-based production reporting systems applications
