The nurse provides safe nursing care to the pediatric primary care patients with minimal guidance and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care.

Nemours is a pediatric tertiary care subspecialty clinic located in Jacksonville, Florida.
The position involves full-time responsibilities as an attending Interventional Pediatric Radiologist at our freestanding outpatient facility and at Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Wolfson is a 216-bed pediatric hospital where all imaging modalities are utilized.
An opportunity for academic appointment to the Mayo Medical School and University of Florida, Jacksonville are available.
The preferred candidate will have strong skills in pediatric interventional radiology, excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to collaborate with clinicians to deliver the best in interventional care.
Pediatric interventional radiology team consists of 3 pediatric interventional radiologists, a nurse practitioner, specialized nurses, and techs.
Pediatric interventional radiologists are on call every third week.
Pediatric diagnostic calls are covered separately by diagnostic radiologists.
There are 2 options for this job:
Full time onsite pediatric interventional radiology job with little basic (Xray, Ultrasound) diagnostic mix.
Diagnostic assignment will average about one day per week.
Only call coverage: Just cover 17 weeks of pediatric interventional radiology calls onsite every year
Nemours Radiology provides full pediatric imaging services (diagnostic and interventional) for the Nemours Children's Health, Jacksonville, Nemours Children's Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL, Nemours Children's Health, Pensacola as well as staffs pediatric radiology at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
Nemours radiology services are integrated within a single PACS with faculty working from common work-lists.
In 2022, over 400,000 imaging examinations were performed in the system.
Faculty are licensed in both Delaware and Florida and credentialed throughout the system.
By creating an integrated Nemours-wide Radiology department, with a critical mass of 40 pediatric radiologists, making us one of the largest pediatric radiology faculty in the nation.
This critical mass has enabled marked improvement in report turn-around times, increased sub-specialization, dramatic increase in academic productivity, and work on system-wide quality improvement and safety initiatives.
