We are looking for a dependable, compassionate Cook to join our Dining Services team and help us provide delicious, nutritious meals in a welcoming, resident-focused environment.

As a Cook, youll prepare a variety of menu items for daily meals and special events while working alongside a supportive dining team.

Youll follow recipes and food-safety standards, help maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents and guests.

What Youll Do Prepare soups, entres, sides, desserts, and other menu items according to recipes and daily menusPrepare the appropriate quantities of food based on daily needs and tally sheetsAssist with food preparation, including washing and preparing fruits and vegetables and preparing meats, poultry, and seafoodHelp prepare meals and menu items for daily dining and special eventsFollow proper food handling, sanitation, labeling, storage, and safety proceduresMaintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and work areaProperly use and care for commercial kitchen equipmentWork collaboratively with Dining Services and other Pines Village team membersProvide courteous and respectful service to residents, guests, and coworkersHelp create the positive dining experience our residents deserve What Were Looking For High school diploma or equivalentPrevious cooking or kitchen experience; 13 years preferredServSafe/Food Service Sanitation Certification, or willingness to complete required trainingFamiliarity with commercial kitchen equipment preferredAbility to follow recipes, instructions, sanitation standards, and established proceduresDependable and able to work scheduled shifts with regular and punctual attendanceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA respectful, team-oriented approach when working with older adults and coworkers What We Offer Eligible employees may enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Health, Dental & Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Company-Paid Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityCompany-Paid Life & AD&D Insurance403(b) Retirement Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off7 Paid HolidaysEmployee Discount ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) Why Pines Village?
