Loan Operations Supervisor-Loan Assistants

Relocation assistance is not provided.) The Loan Operations Supervisor leads and develops the Loan Assistant team in alignment with Legacy Bank's core values of Relationships, Empowerment, Reliability, Kindness, and Legacy.

The role builds lasting relationships across the team and empowers Loan Assistants through clear standards and decision authority, and promotes reliable, accurate, and compliant work.

The supervisor leads with kindness by coaching with respect, providing direct feedback, and supporting each employee's growth.

By developing talent and strengthening processes, this role helps create a lasting legacy of capable people and sustainable performance.

The first priority of this role is people.

The supervisor identifies and selects talent, leads onboarding, coaches and develops each Loan Assistant, owns individual development plans and career progression, and holds the team to clear and consistent standards.

The second priority is the work itself: how it is designed, documented, and improved.

The supervisor establishes written standards and partners with Commercial Lending, Processing, and Quality Assurance to resolve issues at their source rather than absorbing them.

The supervisor develops Loan Assistants into knowledgeable and empowered loan specialists who make sound decisions within defined authority.

Operating under the direction of the Loan Operations Manager, the supervisor is accountable for the team's results, development, and performance, not for routinely performing the team's work.

Success is measured by the team's ability to operate confidently, reliably, and independently, with limited operational support provided when needed to maintain business continuity.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Develop Loan Assistants into loan specialists who make decisions within a defined authority.

Publish and maintain the decision authority framework for the team, stating plainly what a Loan Assistant decides alone, what requires the supervisor and what requires the Loan Operations Manager, and widen it deliberately as capability grows.

Build and run a structured onboarding and continued training program so that no one learns this role by trial and error.

Certify competence against written standards.

Track escalations per team member per week and work to reduce them, addressing any repeated escalations.Lead, coach and develop the Loan Assistant team.

Hold a regular one on one with team members and use it to develop their professional journey.

Own individual development plans for each Loan Assistant and review it quarterly.

Own the annual performance assessment foreach team member, including its preparation and its delivery.

Identify and select talent and onboard new Loan Assistants.

Build bench strength and identify successor readiness across the team in partnership with the Loan Operations Manager.Design how work is assigned, balanced and sequence...
