Work You'll Do

The Analyst will be a member of the D71 strategy team, helping leadership determine where D71 should place bets, how potential ventures should be evaluated, and what evidence is required to advance or stop an opportunity.

Working across emerging domains and active ventures, the Analyst will combine market intelligence, strategic analysis, business-case development, and executive communication to support portfolio choices and stage-gate decisions.

The role offers exposure to senior leaders, founders, product managers, engineers, external experts, and Deloitte businesses as D71 develops and scales AI-native products, platforms, and new businesses.

Responsibilities


* Conduct outside-in research on structural market shifts, emerging technologies, business-model disruption, customer needs, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to identify attractive venture domains.


* Build market landscapes, market-sizing analyses, competitor and start-up profiles, ecosystem maps, and white-space assessments to inform where D71 should explore and invest.


* Support the development and testing of venture theses, including the problem to solve, target customer, differentiated value proposition, Deloitte advantage, business model, and path to scale.


* Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, including revenue-pool assessment, unit economics, scenario analysis, financial modeling, and build-buy-partner evaluations.


* Design and support validation activities such as expert interviews, customer discovery, hypothesis testing, and structured diligence with internal and external stakeholders.


* Prepare decision-ready materials for D71 stage gates, portfolio reviews, and executive forums, clearly synthesizing evidence, risks, strategic implications, and recommendations.


* Monitor active ventures and the broader portfolio against strategic, market, customer, and financial indicators; identify patterns, dependencies, and implications for future investment.


* Partner with founders, product managers, engineers, finance, go-to-market leaders, Deloitte businesses, and external experts to integrate perspectives and advance strategic work.
