Network Engineer

Tharros supports the US Navy with operational test and evaluation support.

In support of this mission, we have an immediate opportunity for a Network Engineer.

In this role you will design, configure, and maintain network environments used to assess the security, performance, and resilience of systems under cyber threat conditions.

Additionally, you will be responsible to build and manage test networks that simulate operational environments, integrate security tools and monitoring systems, and support the execution of cyber exercises, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.

The role involves troubleshooting network issues, ensuring accurate test configurations, documenting results, and collaborating with cybersecurity, engineering, and test teams to evaluate system behavior and identify potential security risks.

Duties include but not limited to: Build and integrate architecture and frameworks.

Analyze user needs and requirements to plan and document architecture.Plan implementation strategies to align enterprise components.Design and integrate hardware and software solutions.Implementing and test network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans.Integrate new systems into existing network architecture.Provide input to RMF documentation and activities.Document and update architecture and related activities.Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.Implement new system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
