Assistant Terminal Manager - Brownsville

Job Summary

Operate the terminal and provide back-up management to ensure a safe, environmentally sound, and aggressively costed terminal operation that supports the customer and CITGO's mission and enhances CITGO's overall strategy and image.

Assists the terminal manager in the production and activities of the facility.

Assists, plans and performs work, provides interaction with other work groups and supports management of capital and operating budgets.

Minimum Qualifications



* High School Diploma


* 2 years of experience


* Office PC applications

Job Duties

1.

Safety and Environmental Management:


* Conduct daily terminal inspections to identify and address unsafe conditions and environmental issues


* Ensure compliance with regulations and internal guidelines by reviewing and applying corporate manuals, permits, and safety rules.


* Complete and submit safety and environmental reports on time to avoid penalties.

2.

Terminal Operations:


* Implement operational, technical, and administrative guidelines per Terminal Operations Reference Set (TORS)


* Oversee the receipt and delivery of petroleum products through various systems.


* Manage terminal operations around the clock, including employee schedules and on-call obligations.


* Ensure safe and reliable use of terminal assets and seek continuous improvement opportunities.


* Stay updated on industry trends and competitor practices.

3.

Budget Preparation and Control:


* Evaluate the costs of current operations and project future expenses.


* Monitor and control expenses, taking corrective actions to maintain budget projections.

4.

Reporting:


* Track and prepare reports on terminal activities (daily, monthly, quarterly).


* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to manage service levels and resolve issues.


* Report on supply, demand, inventory, and pricing information.
