Senior Engineer I, Software Test
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to help us deliver with high quality the Schneider Electric's corporate EcoStruxure Technology Platform.
As a member of the team, you will work closely with Development, DevOps, QA, and Cybersecurity teams.
The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for taking ownership of our testing framework, maintaining and improving its capabilities.
Providing testing guidance to fellow engineers.
Verifying the successful integration testing of our Cloud platforms.
Designing and developing performance tests, automated integration tests for a distributed system, executing tests, trouble-shooting defects, and working with individual development teams to resolve issues.
She/he will ensure the best practices are followed while being responsive in a dynamic and iterative Agile development setting.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop and execute automation tests using Python and scripting languages
* Taking the ownership of testing framework and improving its capabilities
* Perform full stack integration testing within our continuous integration/ continuous testing/ continuous deployment pipeline
* Work with development teams to resolve identified issues
* Perform Load and Stress testing of applications using Test Automation tools
* Identify defects, risks and track them until resolution
* Enhance our automation framework that drives end-to-end product test coverage
* 8-year experience designing, implementing, and executing test automation for integration, performance and scalability testing
* Demonstrate strong knowledge in software quality testing principles, practices, and patterns
* Working experience with public clouds such as Microsoft Azure
* Experience with Python and PowerShell, Pytest and Locust framework
* Experience with Postman test framework
* Experience with REST API testing
* Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) using GitHub Actions
* Experience with Kafka Consumers and Producers to publish and subscribe Kafka topics
* Experience working within Agile development process
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Excellent attention to details and communication skills, both written and oral
* Self-development skills to stay up to date with fast-changing trends
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
