We are hiring a Senior Maintenance Engineer on behalf of one of our clients, a leader in North American building materials and infrastructure.
In this role, you will develop and implement technical and mechanical improvements for the facility in Seattle, Washington.

Key Responsibilities
* Reliability Systems: Monitor reliability-based systems including preventative maintenance, lubrication, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
* Maintenance Planning: Create preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for plant and mobile equipment.
* Predictive Maintenance: Perform inspection, vibration, oil analysis, NDT, and thermography activities to ensure optimum equipment availability.
* Program Implementation: Develop and implement the DSCQP inspection program.
* Equipment Optimization: Guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Net Availability Index (NAI) for major plant machinery.
* Process Improvement: Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and operational reliability.
* SAP Management: Coordinate SAP system operations focused on PMR optimization, work orders, and inventory.
* Training & Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance teams to entrench reliability concepts across operations.
* Budget & KPIs: Contribute to department budgeting and maintain accountability for results based on defined KPIs.
* Field Presence: Provide daily feedback to the maintenance lead hand and maintain an active field presence to ensure safety and operational effectiveness.
* Capital Projects: Assist in developing the plant's capital plan and executing capital projects.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
* Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or in a related maintenance position within the cement or mining industry.
* Specialized Skills: Must have at least three (3) years of hands-on experience with each of the following:
1.
Maintenance operations within the cement or mining industry.
2.
Maintenance of ball mills, material classifiers, large-scale fans, and heavy conveyors.
3.
SAP usage for maintenance work order management and parts inventory control.
4.
Application of predictive maintenance principles and maintenance reliability engineering.
