HOUSING PRESERVATION COORDINATOR
Job Title: Housing Preservation Coordinator Department: Strategic Initiatives Reports To: Director of Strategic Initiatives FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually Position Summary The Housing Preservation Coordinator serves as LMHAs internal project manager for housing preservation, redevelopment, and repositioning initiatives.
The position supports implementation of LMHAs long-term portfolio preservation strategy through coordination of HUD repositioning programs, project planning activities, application development, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and funding initiatives.
Working under the direction of the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Housing Preservation Coordinator manages the preservation and repositioning pipeline, coordinates complex multi-departmental projects, supports redevelopment planning efforts, and assists with preparation of HUD applications and funding requests.
The position works closely with Development, Asset Management, Public Housing Operations, Finance, consultants, co-development partners, and HUD to advance LMHAs portfolio transformation objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Housing Preservation & Repositioning Coordination Coordinate the planning, implementation, and documentation of LMHAs housing preservation, redevelopment, and repositioning initiatives.
Maintain LMHAs preservation and repositioning pipeline, including project schedules, milestones, deliverables, approvals, reporting requirements, risks, and implementation challenges.
Assist in evaluating properties and coordinating activities related to redevelopment, rehabilitation, recapitalization, repositioning, disposition, and other preservation strategies.
HUD Applications & Regulatory Coordination Coordinate preparation and submission of HUD repositioning applications, including Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), Section 18 Demolition and Disposition, and other applicable preservation or repositioning programs.
Manage application schedules, supporting documentation, internal and external information requests, HUD correspondence, and regulatory requirements throughout the application and implementation processes.
Monitor and analyze HUD notices, guidance, policies, and regulatory changes affecting LMHAs preservation and repositioning initiatives and provide summaries and recommendations to leadership.
Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination Serve as a central point of coordination among Development, Asset Management, Public Housing Operations, Finance, Capital Improvements, Section 8, consultants, co-development partners, HUD, and other project stakeholders.
Coordinate project meetings, status updates, action items, consultant activities, contract deliverables, and follow-up efforts to support timely completion of project milestones.
