3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Scope of the Position

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing predictive and preventative maintenance tasks to machinery and equipment for an automotive facility.

This is a 3rd Shift position, Monday night through Saturday morning 10:00 p.m.

to 6:30 a.m. 

Responsibilities


* Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to machinery and equipment using a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.


* Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs as needed to minimize production downtime.


* Understand and use computer software for documenting daily activities. 


* Operate overhead crane as needed to transport equipment.


* Assist with improvement items that address customer Quality concerns or employee concerns.


* Support production and production operators to ensure the ability to produce high quality, efficient products.


* Act as troubleshooter for automation equipment and other software. 


* Read controls, drawings and design concepts.


* Respond to maintenance emergencies with urgency and be able to work in excess of eight hours per day. 


* Comply with all safety expectations and contribute to a safe working environment for all employees.


* Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications


* High School Diploma/GED Required.


* 3 – 5 years of maintenance experience preferred.


* Prior automotive experience required.


* Proven experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation fields. 


* Experience in basic electrical troubleshooting preferred. 


* Craftsman or tradesmen who installs, dismantles and repairs machinery. 


* Must also be capable of a basic to moderate level of fabrication and ability to read hydraulic / electrical prints.


* Computer experience. 


* Ability to read and work from Blueprints.


* Strong trouble-shooting skills.


* Good working knowledge of injection molding machinery and auxiliary equipment. 


* Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow work schedule.
