System Application Engineer

As a Field Engineer, a typical day for you might include:


* Expertise in Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building operation system, Siemens Building automation system or Johnson Controls systems.


* Experience providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules.


* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members


* Working as part of a team that is responsible for the programming, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of DDC building automation systems.


* Configuring, programming, and customizing control systems to meet project-specific needs.


* Creation of software programs and front-end graphics.


* Commissioning on projects.


* Analyzing problems and resolving issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.


* Performing system diagnostics and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and efficiency.


* Coordinating customer training and complete closeout documents.


* Providing technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.

Qualifications:


* 2-4 years' experience in a similar role


* Ability to take the lead programmer role on medium to large projects


* Can work independently with 3rd parties such as TAB, IT engineers, commissioning agents, and equipment vendors.


* Able to identify and resolve discrepancies and anomalies in submittals and contract drawings.


* Working knowledge of IP networking basics.


* Able to configure switches, routers, controllers, gateways, firewalls, etc.

on a BAS LAN.


* Demonstrated proficiency with setup and troubleshooting of BACnet, Modbus, and LON communication networks.
