Lead QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Lead with strong hands-on experience in Selenium, Java, and modern AI-driven testing practices.

The ideal candidate will lead automation strategy, design robust frameworks, guide team members, and deliver high-quality test solutions across UI, API, and integration layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reusable test automation frameworks for web, API, and integration testing.

• Drive the adoption of AI-based techniques for test script generation, self-healing tests, and test suite optimization.

• Analyse automation requirements and identify opportunities to enhance test automation coverage.

• Review team members' automation code and provide guidance on best practices.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Perform hands-on API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest-Assured, or similar.

• Troubleshoot automation failures and ensure robust test execution stability.

• Maintain strong documentation around frameworks, processes, and execution reports.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong Selenium WebDriver + core Java expertise with proven hands-on experience in building automation suites.

• Strong understanding of AI usage in Automated script generation, Test suite optimization & Self-healing test scripts

• Use AI-driven tools and MCP to accelerate automation script development and improve test coverage.

• Python programming experience for automation utilities, data-driven testing, or AI/ML automation workflows.

• Hands-on experience in API testing, including automation using Java/Python frameworks.

• Exposure to multiple testing frameworks such as TestNG / Junit, BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Behave), Keyword / Data-driven frameworks

• Good understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and STLC.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.

Additional / Good-to-Have Skills

• Develop AI Agents for Framework optimization, Intelligent test selection, Automated failure analysis & Self-healing automation workflows

• Knowledge of PLM/PDM (Product Lifecycle Management / Product Data Management) concepts.

• Understanding of PTC Windchill environment and its functional workflows.

• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Locust) is a plus.

• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).

AI-Powered Development: Actively use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to write clean, efficient, and secure code.

Prompt Engineering: Develop and optimize prompts to get the best results from AI tools for code generation, refactoring, and documentation.
