Team Lead-Receiving
Role and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for guiding the daily receiving operations, including inbound shipment verification, documentation accuracy, and proper system transactions.
Ensures discrepancies are identified, documented, and resolved in a timely
.
Must be able to lead others in stressful situations.
* Drives Accountability, prioritizes work activities, and ensures production metrics are met daily.
Ensures employees are focused/working on the correct jobs.
* SPS: Must have knowledge of SPS, the 40 principles and drive SPS methods in the group.
* SIM (Short Interval Management) Process: Leads SIM 1 Meetings and Daily Stretches.
* 5S: Serves as the 5S Champion of the group.
Ensures all 5S is completed daily by associates.
* Communicates production needs/metrics and barriers to Team Leader on next shift.
* Steps up to be Point of Contact if supervisor is absent.
* Actively participates in Meetings; has metrics ready to discuss.
* Promotes Change Management positively and supports the Columbia Plant Vision.
* Support quality initiatives and assist in determining the root cause of non-conforming issues.
* Support Safety and act as Safety Champion.
Ensure safe guidelines and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are used within the plant.
* Must use computer systems and programs.
* Maintains all certifications required for group(s) and completes all required training.
* Must be able to operate PIT's (Powered Industrial Trucks) forklifts, water spiders and TSP as required/needed.

* Performs other duties as required and often in other groups.
Will train others as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous team leader experience preferred.
Additional Notes
• The department requires PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), plus Safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor.
• Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment.
The job will be performed standing and/or squatting.
Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, and climb a ladder to perform work.
• Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds repetitively.
