Senior QA Engineer

Role Overview

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Manual QA Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in the PTC Windchill PLM domain.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Windchill modules, CAD-PLM integrations, webservices validation, and modern QA practices including BDD, AI-assisted test authoring, and test optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional and regression testing for core Windchill modules, including PDMLink, PartsLink, ProjectLink & MPMLink

• Validate Windchill business logic, workflows, access control rules, and lifecycle behaviors.

• Conduct configuration validation, BOM validations, and PDM process verification.

• Test integrations between Windchill and major CAD applications (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

• Ensure CAD structure synchronization and interoperability within the PLM ecosystem.

• Validate REST/SOAP webservices used in Windchill customizations and integrations.

• Conduct payload validation, schema verification, and boundary testing for service interfaces.

• Draft clear use cases, test scenarios, and test cases using industry-standard QA techniques.

• Apply AI tools to Improve clarity and coverage of test cases, Auto-generate variations of test steps, Accelerate test-writing and scenario expansion& Optimize test suites for redundancy reduction

Required Skills & Experience/Mandatory:

• 3-6 years of hands-on QA experience in Windchill PLM domain.

• Strong functional knowledge PDMLink PartsLink, ProjectLink & MPMLink

• Excellent understanding of CAD-PLM interactions and CAD data management.

• Experience testing REST/SOAP webservices.

• Strong command over test planning, scenario drafting, RTM creation.

• Good understanding of BDD concepts (Given-When-Then style writing).

• Exposure to AI-based QA tools, such as AI-assisted test case authoring ,Test optimization / impact analysis tools, AI-based defect clustering or RCA support

• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile Scrum processes.

Nice-to-Have


* Basic understanding of automation frameworks supporting BDD.


* Prior exposure to Windchill customizations or upgrades.


* Familiarity with Jenkins, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.


* AI-Powered Development: Actively use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to write clean, efficient, and secure code.


* Prompt Engineering: Develop and optimize prompts to get the best results from AI tools for code generation, refactoring, and documentation.
