Field Service Technician Intern

As a Technical Services Intern with Schneider Electric in Nashville, TN, you'll step into the world of intelligent buildings, energy-efficient systems, and cutting-edge automation technologies.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, field technicians, and project teams to support real customer sites-including universities, healthcare facilities, corporate campuses, and mission-critical environments.

This hands-on internship gives you exposure to troubleshooting, system diagnostics, commissioning tasks, digital service delivery, and the technologies advancing sustainability across the built environment.

What You Will Do


* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer building automation and energy-management systems.


* Assist with system commissioning, preventative maintenance, and warranty services.


* Coordinate activities with customers and internal project teams.


* Review engineering drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation with mentor guidance.


* Support basic system programming, software updates, and equipment startup activities.


* Suggest system improvements, optimizations, and modifications that enhance performance.

What Makes You Successful



* Enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or related technical degree.


* Interest in HVAC, building automation, or energy management.


* Proficient in Microsoft Office; exposure to programming or controls is a plus.


* Strong communication and customer-facing skills.


* Organized, dependable, and eager to learn.


* Valid driver's license.
