Job Summary
Support the design, planning, and implementation of information technology (IT) audit programs informed by documented risk assessments.
Assist in planning IT assignments and provide IT guidance and support applicable to technology across all audits.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of IT systems and processes to identify potential risks and control weaknesses.
Document findings, prepare audit reports, and support the communication of results to County bureau/department heads and senior leadership.
Monitor recommendations to ensure successful implementation of corrective actions.
Escalate any issues potentially impacting the quality or completion of assignments.
Collaborate with IT professionals and stakeholders to support the implementation of IT audits and cybersecurity best practices across the County.
Help ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations and standards (e.g., National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), etc.).
Stay updated on new technologies and industry standards to enhance audit procedures.
Identify and support the application of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT) for all audits.Minimum Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a directly related field and
• Two (2) years as an IT Auditor or directly related experience or
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
