Perishables Operations Specialist

About the Role 
As a Perishables Operations Specialist, you’ll support daily export operations for perishable freight.

This hands‑on role requires strong teamwork, accuracy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You’ll coordinate shipments, manage documentation, and ensure all regulatory and customer requirements are met. 

Key Responsibilities 


* Coordinate international transport bookings and optimise unit planning 


* Prepare and distribute export documentation for temperature‑controlled cargo 


* Monitor shipments, resolve issues proactively, and support customer service 


* Ensure accurate costing, invoicing, and data entry 


* Prepare customer quotes and assist commercial outcomes 


* Build effective relationships with customers, airlines, and suppliers 


* Identify operational improvement opportunities 

 
About You 


* Experience in freight forwarding (air or ocean) — desirable 


* CargoWise, AFR/OFR export knowledge, and DG accreditation — advantageous 


* Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail 


* Flexible, solutions‑focused, and comfortable working under time pressure
