Technical Support Leader -Automation Systems

We are seeking qualified applicants for the Automation System - Technical Support Leader role supporting the operation of our Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) systems in our Georgia Pacific manufacturing plants, distribution centers and remote distribution centers.
This position will be a part of a dynamic work team and report through the Automation & Robotics Center of Excellence team.
The role will focus on leading our AGV technical service team as well as sustaining existing vehiclesafter deployment.
What You Will Do
* Lead and motivate the technical service team for GP's automation technology systems team which will include scheduling technical resources to priority of work and continuous development of all-encompassing talent skill sets for the technical service team
* Ownership of all internal and external aftermarket support issues for three different OEM technologies while meeting deadlines and incentives
* Provide and understand corrective maintenance which includes root cause analysis
* Use tools and data to predict/trend/track issues and provide feedback when improvements and changes are requiredto standard maintenance plans, spare parts and/or technology
* Work collaboratively with other internal resources to complete identified opportunities to measurable results
* Drive measurable/quick/effective results to keep our automated vehicle fleet in service to reduce manufacturing and finished good movement interruptions
* Foster collaboration by creating a communication bridge between the technical service team, internal CoE team, internal site customers, executives, and vendors
* Oversee and lead a diverse team within ever changing business priorities and ability to calmly resolve the occasional crises
* Align the automation technical services team with organizational goals, optimize costs and drive continual improvements
* Stay current with ever changing technologies and data reporting tools
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Demonstrated leadership of technical service teams with defined goals and outcomes
* Proven ability to communicate technical information to diverse internal and external stakeholders
* Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, drivers, belts, and bearings
* Experience performing operations, equipment maintenance, or manufacturing engineering tasks according to standards
* Applied root cause analysis methodologies to identify and resolve technical issues
* Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills through documented examples
* Experience working with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and automation equipment or documented ability to acquire these skills
* Documented experience managing customer interactions and technical service support
* Proficiency with computer software and systems relevant to technical service and maintenance activities
