Tax Manager

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Tax Manager to work as part of our SeaTac team.

As Tax Manager, you will lead the Company’s federal, state, and indirect tax compliance and reporting processes, manage the annual income tax provision preparation, and ensure adherence to all applicable tax laws.

This role also oversees Washington B&O and sales and use tax compliance and supports cross-functional teams with tax guidance on business operations and strategic decisions.

This position is not safety sensitive.

What you will be doing:

Income Tax Compliance & Reporting


* Lead and manage the preparation, review, and filing of all federal and state income tax returns and estimated tax payments for the Company and its subsidiaries


* Prepare and review the annual income tax provision, including preparation of the related tax financial statement footnotes, reconciliation of the taxes payable and deferred tax accounts


* Maintain detailed knowledge of current U.S.

federal and state tax legislation and assess its impact on the Company


* Assist with Canadian cross-border tax issues as they arise


* Manage various tax audits

Tax Research & Technical Support


* Research complex tax issues and prepare supporting documentation, technical memos, and analyses to substantiate tax positions


* Provide tax guidance on strategic, operational, and transactional matters


* Assist with evaluating potential tax risks

Indirect Tax


* Review Washington B&O and sales and use tax returns, ensuring accurate classification, proper taxability determinations, and full compliance with state regulations


* Monitor and apply applicable exemptions, maintain documentation and workpapers, and stay current on changes to Washington tax laws and Department of Revenue guidance


* Support internal teams and help manage state tax inquiries or audits to ensure consistent, compliant indirect tax processes

Collaboration & Process Improvement


* Partner with internal stakeholders—including finance, accounting, legal, and operations—to provide tax expertise and support business decisions


* Assist in evaluating and implementing technology solutions and workflow automation to enhance tax compliance and reporting processes


* Lead training initiatives to ensure the tax team is informed on process updates, system enhancements, and regulatory changes
