The Supervisor Safety & Risk implements and may provide input into strategic goals for safety and loss control across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Implements and may provide input into strategic goals for safety and loss control across the organization.
Oversees daily operations of team, ensuring work is performed as prescribed by policies and procedures to achieve productivity, service, and quality standards, and goals.
Serves as a consultant to leadership on safety, loss control & risk management.
Maintains a high degree of industry acumen and business literacy, including claim financials, safety operational goals, while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Has familiarity with the safety budget and manages team spend to meet budget targets.
Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3 12 months.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1.
Partner with Safety, Asset Protection, and Facilities leadership on developing safety, loss control and risk management best practices for applicable business units.
Serve as the point of contact on complex safety and risk issues.
2.
Oversee daily operations of the safety team, including site visits, territory management, and adherence to visit schedules.
3.
Collaborate with department leadership and respond to, investigate, resolve and document safety, loss control or risk issues.
4.
Serve as the subject matter expert on safety, loss control and risk management that impact the organization.
Monitor compliance with Goodwill s safety policies and procedures.

5.
Key role in the design, development, and delivery of safety, loss control, and risk management programs, policies, and practices.
Recommends policy updates based on legislative/governmental changes and safety, compliance and training best practices.
6.
Oversee and support emergency response procedures for all Goodwill locations by establishing clear roles, performing risk assessments, and continuously assessing plans based on drills, exercises, and emergency situations.
7.
Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives, including strategic safety, loss control and risk management initiatives.
Actively participate in and contribute to the organization s safety and loss control projects and action planning, helping drive a strong safety culture across Goodwill.
8.
Maintain regular communication with staff on safety, loss control and risk management about trends or singular events of relevance.
Partner with Safety colleagues and business leaders to identify opportunities to develop behavior based safety culture in their everyday workplace culture.
Develop strong relationships with business unit leaders to understand their specific needs and concerns.
9.
Partner with department leadership and peers to compile, analyze and report on safety & risk data and metrics.
