NI-Physician, Pediatric Endocrinology

Job Summary

UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC pediatric endocrinologist to join our specialized team.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders while working alongside dedicated colleagues in a community-based outpatient practice with consultative inpatient coverage.

Your practice includes the following:


* Collaboration with experienced pediatric subspecialists and access to UW Health resources.


* On-site certified diabetes educators, clinical dieticians, and clinical pharmacists with expertise in pediatric care.


* A newly renovated, state-of-the-art clinic equipped for advanced endocrine and diabetes care.


* Access to an ADA-recognized diabetes education program with dedicated RN and RD educators.


* Built-in referral base as member of the region's leading group for primary care providers


* Extended support from pediatric specialists at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI.


* Academic appointment and teaching opportunities available through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.

Education


* MD or DO - Required

License/Certifications


* Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire - Required


* Active Illinois medical license - Required


* Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology.

Board certification must be obtained within 5 years - Required


* Bi-annual CPR certification - Preferred
