Manager of Software Engineering - UI/React

As a Manager of Software Engineering - UI/React at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology-Global Real Estate Technology team, you will oversee multiple teams, guiding their daily implementation activities while identifying and escalating any issues that arise.

Additionally, you will ensure that your team's work aligns with compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job Responsibilities



* Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities


* Works at code-level using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API, and React


* Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration


* Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements


* Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements


* Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.

In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience


* Experience in managing technologists while working at code-level in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API implementation and micro-services architecture


* Experience in front-end development, debugging, and maintaining code in a large environment with UI Frameworks such as Reacts JS or Bootstrap


* Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists


* Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods


* Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security


* Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Practical cloud native experience


* In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
