Position Overview: The Senior Principal Engineer, R&D External Innovation is responsible for identifying and assessing external innovation opportunities from the global innovation network to enhance the existing portfolio and R&D pipeline with strategically aligned assets.

The primary focus for the R&D External Innovation Senior Principal Engineer will be to source and assess innovative assets, technologies, and partnerships that support J&J MedTech Surgery’s Advanced Instrument portfolio across short-term, mid-term, and long-term horizons.

These efforts ultimately aim to improve patient outcomes by accelerating the development of innovative surgical technologies.
