Engineering Test Technician

Join our team in Clackamas, OR, as an Engineering Test Technician! In this hands-on role, you'll put pumps to the test in our lab and play a key part in supporting Engineering and R&D.
This is a full-time, day-shift position (Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) offering competitive pay of $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

About the position:
The Engineering Test Technician will set up testing loops and perform required pump testing per customer specifications.
Interpretation of testing results before handoff to Engineering and/or Sales.
Assists with research and development of new Cornell products or modifications to existing products.
What You'll Do:
* Execute performance & R&D tests that meet applicable codes and standards.
* Works with Engineering to plan and coordinate R&D testing programs.
* Designs and fabricates new test fixtures and loops.
* Performs engineering calculations related to pump testing.
* Examine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications with Lab tools (calipers, hydraulic templates) or by coordinating with the shop Inspector when necessary.
* Coordinates and participates in installing pumps into the system.
Connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments.
* Activates/monitors controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject test items to successive steps in the test cycle.
