Public Relations & Communications Coordinator

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE:

Education Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
preferred.

4.

Experience Two to Four years of Public Relations experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Develop and implement public relations and communication strategies to promote the organization’s brand and mission.


* Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, newsletters, and promotional content.


* Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets.


* Coordinate and manage media interviews, press conferences, and public events.


* Monitor media coverage and social media channels; analyze and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns.


* Manage social media accounts and engage with the public to enhance the organization’s online presence.


* Support crisis communication efforts by providing timely and accurate information during emergencies.


* Represent Family Health West in all public communications via press release, interviews and media coverage.


* Collaborate with marketing, leadership, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.


* Maintain and update media contact databases and communication materials.


* Assist in the planning and execution of promotional campaigns and events to increase public awareness


* Prepare reports on communication activities, outcomes, and media impact for senior management.


* Other job duties as assigned.

GENERAL DUTIES:

* Maintains a standard level of professionalism with patients, public and colleagues.


* Responds to all inquiries professionally preserving confidentiality.


* Maintain a positive and professional conduct through both verbal and non-verbal communication.


* Maintains patient/resident/employee privacy and confidentiality at all times.


* Attend staff meetings and in-service education.


* Practice effective interpersonal skills and work productively as a member of a team.

Wage starts at $23.80
