Lead Software Engineer / Oracle / Human Resources

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Technology Employee Platforms, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities


* Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems


* Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others


* Leads and maintains business processes (e.g.

configuration documents, JIRA practices, SR tracking, etc.)


* Leads functional testing of the enhancements (reducing / minimizing defects)


* Reviews Oracle release notes in advance and conducts impact analysis


* Ensures security and release processes are followed to reduce risk


* Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development


* Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems


* Identifies (Proactively) hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture


* Maintains system training and knowledge to ensure design is optimal, holistic, and thorough


* Identifies and applies lessons learned and acquired knowledge to limit production defects

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience


* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability


* Advanced in one or more programming language(s)


* Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods


* Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle


* Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)


* In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems


* Practical cloud native experience


* Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying l...
