Park Maintenance Supervisor - Parks
The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District is seeking a Park Maintenance Supervisor - Parks located in Hemet.
This position is based out of the satellite office located at Goodhart Ranch.
The Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP) Park Maintenance Supervisor will provide day-to-day supervision of Park Maintenance Worker staff in a wildland setting.
This incumbent will oversee and participate in a variety of projects across Western Riverside County on lands conserved by the Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority as part of the County's MSHCP.
The Park Maintenance Supervisor will actively participate in fieldwork alongside staff while overseeing and managing projects in close coordination with the Natural Resources Manager and Parks Ranger Supervisor.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for creating, tracking, executing, and reporting on project work lists.
Projects may include weed abatement, fencing and gate fabrication and installation, illegal dumping and homeless encampment cleanup, habitat restoration, small construction projects, road grading, and public engagement.
This position will also be responsible for managing large recurring and new purchases.
Additional duties include collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies to protect MSHCP-conserved lands and properties.
The Park Maintenance Supervisor will work with the team to prioritize projects with sensitive natural resources in mind, ensure that management activities comply with all state and federal regulations, actively participate in County Homeless Outreach programs, and manage encampment removals and cleanups.
The department seeks candidates with experience in general land management and maintenance, ArcGIS, homelessness programs and/or solutions, fiscal budget management, and operation of a wide range of equipment from string trimmers to large tractors.
The schedule for this position is a 9/80 with every other Monday off.
The Park Maintenance Supervisor - Parks is a supervisory level classification and reports to an Area Park Manager.
Incumbents are assigned to a County park area which has intensive maintenance needs due to having numerous recreational and camping facilities, heavy public use, and extensive development.
