Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent to join our MedTech Surgery team as an Associate Director, New Product Development for our Biosurgery Platform, located in Raritan, NJ.

Purpose:

The Associate Director, R&D Biosurgery will serve as a key technical leader in our new product development team.

This team of scientists, engineers, and technical specialists are in the forefront of technology in the medical device industry.

As a key member of our group, you will be making vital contributions to the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline and improving patient care through innovation.

This role provides an opportunity to bring exciting new biosurgery products to market while also providing the opportunity for leadership and significant professional growth.

You will be responsible for:


* Collaborate with external suppliers and internal partners to develop products


* Leads technical functional leaders (formulation, process, etc.) to ensure prioritization and technical delivery for Biosurgery NPD programs


* Accountable for technical program / project scoping and chartering, in addition to developing formula optimization strategy for new product commercialization and technical business case development/delivery, collaborating with technical operations for productivity opportunities, both cost saving and cost avoidance


* Nurture technical mastery, critical thinking and problem solving.

Drive cross-functional learning plans


* Oversee the team’s project activities, resource utilization (including budget) and document management to meet timeline


* Lead the Biosurgery R&D technical programs as a change agent; ensuring NPD programs are executed to plan; ensure a clear understanding of the customer/market needs, drive programs towards the realization of a future state of executing work more efficiently


* Coaches, mentors and guides R&D team to create a culture of candor, operational excellence and project execution.

* Drive a culture of innovation (solution centric mindsets, can-do approach) focused on technical rigor while meeting Design controls requirements.
