Job Description:

Position Overview: The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the procurement process of consumable goods within the organization (This role involves collaborating with & following up on suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet organizational needs.

optimizing cost, driving innovation and maintaining high standards of quality and service, while also emphasizing sustainability in procurement practices.


* Key Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms of sale with an emphasis on sustainability practices.


* Execute purchase orders and confirm delivery schedules with suppliers.


* Monitor and review supplier performance regularly, including their sustainability metrics.


* Provide leadership for a team of 3 to 4 employees by engaging in coaching and support.

This involves ensuring that each team member has access to the necessary resources and acquires the skills required to effectively perform in their roles and achieve success.

Objective Setting: 


* Define clear objectives and expectations, regularly communicating progress to drive accountability and align team efforts with organizational objectives.

Inventory and Cost Management


* Maintain accurate inventory records and analyze levels for effective demand forecasting, minimizing waste and excess inventory.


* Monitor spending, conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities, and evaluate pricing and sustainable alternatives.
