Sales (Catering) Manager

Job Title: Catering Sales Manager

Hourly Pay Range $26.44-$28.85

Department: Sales and Marketing

Job Summary:

You love the hotel industry, and selling memorable events is your specialty.

As a Catering Sales Manager, you will connect with clients to bring their visions to life while driving revenue for the hotel.

Whether it's a dream wedding or a social gathering, your expertise in weddings and SMERF catering ensures that every event is seamlessly planned and flawlessly executed.

Key Responsibilities:


* Proactively Drive Catering Sales - Develop and execute a strategic plan to maximize bookings for weddings, social events, and SMERF catering.

Actively pursue leads through networking, referrals, and outbound sales efforts.


* Be the Expert Clients Trust - Listen attentively to understand client needs, ensuring that events align with their vision while meeting revenue goals.

Follow up promptly on inquiries and maintain strong relationships for repeat business.


* Solicit & Negotiate Contracts - Secure business through site visits, cold calls, social media outreach, and event industry networking.

Negotiate contracts that balance client satisfaction and hotel profitability.


* Represent Woodcliff in the Community - Position the hotel as the premier venue for weddings and social events by attending bridal shows, networking events, and industry gatherings.

Strengthen relationships with local businesses, event planners, and vendors.


* Collaborate Across Teams - Work closely with catering operations, banquet staff, and the culinary team to ensure flawless event execution.

Maintain clear communication from booking through event day to exceed guest expectations.


* Stay Ahead of Trends - Keep a pulse on the latest wedding and event trends, leveraging insights to position Woodcliff as a top choice for modern celebrations.


* Manage Multiple Events Seamlessly - Oversee all aspects of the sales process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring smooth coordination across multiple bookings.


* Leverage Sales Analytics - Track key performance metrics, identify revenue opportunities, and refine sales strategies to meet and exceed catering revenue goals.

Qualifications:


* Minimum of two years in catering sales, preferably in a full-service hotel or high-volume event venue.


* Experience in wedding sales, social events, or SMERF catering strongly preferred.


* Proficiency in sales software, CRM tools, and event management systems (experience with Delphi is a plus).


* Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.


* Ability to work Saturdays and accommodate flexible event schedules.


* Ability to lift, stand, and move event-related materials as needed.
