Role reports to: Director of External Manufacturing

Location: Summit, NJ

Travel %: 25%

Pay: $98,000.00 - $167,900.00

What you will do

The External Manufacturing Site Manager is responsible for achieving specific performance metrics in areas of site execution, cost, service, quality, agility, and environmental health & safety while managing all aspects of manufacturing operations within assigned site(s) including product supply, logistics and distribution, capacity management, planning, capabilities assessment, inventory control, purchasing, quality, negotiation, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities


* Lead cross-functional teams to resolve product supply issues, driving results on global, regional, and local levels.


* Facilitate the execution of legally binding supply and service level agreements.


* Ensure the achievement of external manufacturing site attainment goals.


* Identify and deliver a pipeline of cost improvement projects.


* Develop manufacturing strategies to enhance site performance, agility, and reliability of supply.


* Identify and obtain resources to resolve issues.


* Lead the execution of life cycle management and new product launches at external manufacturing sites.


* Ensure customer commitments for product availability are met.


* Resolve quality and GMP issues.


* Implement LEAN methodology and lead continuous improvement initiatives.


* Develop business continuity plans to ensure continued supply in emergency situations, identifying qualified sources of supply and manufacturing sites based on product requirements and marketing strategies related to manufacturing.


* Develop supply market knowledge within key processing technologies to enable rapid benchmarking and accelerated selection of alternate manufacturing sites.
