We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and mentor our Accounts Payable team.

This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of AP processes, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration in a publicly traded environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, people leadership, and process improvement skills to be successful in the role.

Responsibilities:


* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Accounts Payable professionals to ensure high performance and accuracy.


* Oversee daily AP operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of over 10,000 manual invoices and more than 300,000 total invoices annually.


* Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, SOX requirements, and all relevant regulatory guidelines.


* Own the escheatment process, ensuring timely handling and compliance with unclaimed property laws.


* Partner with Procurement and other departments to streamline processes, especially as the company focuses on growing the use of purchase orders.


* Lead the annual 1099 filing process, including data compilation, preparation and distribution of forms to applicable suppliers, and filing with the IRS and individual states not using the federal filing system (eight states in 2024).


* Lead the corporate PCard program which includes over 5,000 cards and over 50,000 expense reports annually.

Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, in a large multi-state organization.


* Proven leadership skills with experience leading and developing teams.


* Solid understanding of AP software and ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP).


* Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.


* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
