Some Essential Functions:


* Reliability and able to communicate efficiently and effectively


* Implement and assist with the facility's accounting functions under the supervision of the Business Office Manager


* Assist department directors in the development and use of accounting policies and procedures, and establish a rapport in and between departments so that each can realize the importance of accurate reporting procedures


* Monitor and collect accounts receivables as assigned


* Perform functions of computer/data processor as necessary


* Develop and utilize computer reports and output as required


* Assist in the planning and implementation of changes in the accounting system


* Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or appropriate

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


* Must possess a cheerful personality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel


* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public


* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations


* Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines


* Experience with telephone etiquette


* Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position


* Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with other personnel
