As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior.
Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives
Job responsibilities
* Executes security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)
* Creates secure and high-quality production code
* Design, code and test application programming using Java/J2ee, Spring/Spring Boot in AWS
* Perform software maintenance and improvements using knowledge application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
* Design and develop scalable applications for cloud
* Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
* Resolve high impact production issues and ensure smooth flow of business applications
* Drive and select cost-effective security solutions
* Implement best practices, new policies, and emerging trends to enhance the strategic roadmap
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification on Security Engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
* Experience developing security engineering solutions
* Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
* Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
* Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jenkins/Selenium Grid)
* Proficient in coding in one of more languages such as Java/J2EE
* Experience in development and deployment of applications in public cloud such as AWS
* Hands-on experience with Spring Framework components such as AOP, Integration, MVC, Sprint boot
* Experience with Spring JDBC, Spring Hibernate ORM and JPA
* Profienct in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as NoSQL
* Solid understanding of Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Repository Management (Git) and designing and developing applications with RESTful Web Services
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
