RWE Principal, Data Engineering & Tech Strategy - Forsyth Health - Remote

How you'll make a difference:

The RWE Principal, Data Engineering & Tech Strategy is a key role to the enterprise.

This role will be supporting a highly complex and growing area within the health care space.

The primary responsibility will be to lead a team of data engineers that will be creating data products for the enterprise.

Responsibilities include data model development, data architecture development, ETL, technology strategy, data support and general data support for all stakeholders.

This role will also need to support the SME for the core technology platforms across internal and external teams.

This person will need to be able to understand the needs within the customer marketplace and incorporate into the technology strategy and core architecture.

What you'll do:

• Grow, lead, and develop team engineering professionals to develop best in class/innovative data products and services for Forsyth Health.

•Consult and communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders to help understand complex issues and inquiries, while prescribing action or solutions.

•Tell us what needs to be done, don't wait to be told what to do.

•Assist in developing the data strategy for the enterprise.

•Act as liaison for other business technology partners.

• Research and deploy new tools, applications and data frameworks that will be an enabler the team.

•Develop standardized reporting to identify trends and provide industry insights.

•Create a performance-based culture that enables the team to collaborate and think outside the box.

•Able to manage multiple projects while supervising timelines, priorities, and escalations.

•Collaborate cross-functionally to recommend innovation and efficiencies into new/existing models and/or reports.

•Consult company wide and externally on data use.

Experience and Knowledge:

•Excellent presentation and communication skills.

•Proven leadership skills, a pro-active management style, team orientation and a strong commitment to client service.

•Must be able to multitask, prioritize workload and projects, resolve complex issues and project manage.

•Must be able to think creatively, innovate and flex where needed.

Should be able to think quickly.

•Analytic skills are a must including quantitative analytic skills, knowledge of reporting solutions and familiarity with cutting edge analytic tools and principles.

•Proficient in Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, ETL, Spark, Python, data lineage, big data, cloud-based data sharing and Data architecture.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant degree

•10-14 years relevant experience

•Experience in healthcare, Biotech, Pharmaceutical industries.

•Must be proficient is cloud technologies including: Databricks, AWS and Snowflake

• Expertise in Python and SQL

• Expertise in ingesting data from a variety of structures including relational databases, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, ...
