Production Scanner (Bloomington, MN)

As a Production Scanne r you will using inspection equipment to process dimensional inspections on all standard and complex castings, fixtures and core assemblies.

What will you do?



* Perform casting layouts by using CMM, Portable CMM, Laser Scanner and White Light equipment utilizing Digital Analysis Software and manual measurement tools (hand scanning).


* Compile dimensional discrepancy data, layout reports, customer forms, etc.

and reviews with Level 3 title.


* Measuring castings of all complexities which includes measuring accuracy of tooling points, the cutting planes and angles for saw operations for the purpose of the Level 3 title provide specific directions or assistance to downstream operations


* Organize all equipment, materials, fixtures, measuring devices, etc.

necessary to complete assigned job and check all documentation (blueprints, travelers, customer records, engineering change requests, special instructions, etc.) and perform calibrations.


* Provide thorough feedback to Level 3 title on special interest findings through written and verbal instruction.


* Perform routine maintenance and minor repair of equipment and contact Supervisor for major problems and repairs.

What can you bring to the table?



* High school or equivalent.


* 1 years in a manufacturing environment.


* Knowledge and experience working with CMM, Portable CMM, CT Scanning, Laser Scanning PolyWorks or Geomagic software preferred
