We are hiring a Power Electronics Engineering Co-op to support Electrical Vehicle (EV) Charging Products within the Schneider Electric Prosumer NAM Hub Team in Richmond, BC, Canada.
Must be available for 8 months minimum.
What will you do?
* Work with Power Electronics and Firmware Engineers to design and validate EV charging products.
* Collaborate with cross functional teams in development and assessment of test infrastructure.
* Validate products against requirements in an R&D lab setting while providing necessary resolutions through troubleshooting and debugging.
* Preform testing from Printed Circuit Board Assembly bring up through final assembly
* Support execution of system and sub-system integration testing with subsequent issue management
What qualifications will make you successful?
* Working towards an undergraduate degree in Mechatronics/Electrical/Engineering Physics/Computer Engineering/Control Systems (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students).
* Exposure to electrical hardware, software, and electrical circuit theory as it relates to embedded controls for electro-mechanical systems.
* Experience with simulation software such as Matlab Simulink, LT spice, and PSIM.
* Familiarity with systems design methodologies such as cascading requirement scenarios is preferred
* Strong collaboration skills to engage a variety of stakeholders, subject matter experts, and other mechanical engineers
