Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Schneider Electric is seeking talented individuals with a strong work ethic to be part of our Maintenance team in Smyrna.

We currently have opportunities for Maintenance Technicians for our manufacturing department.

What will you do?

Analyzes equipment problems resulting from mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions.
Installs, maintains, dismantles, repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment.
Performs welding fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing and electrical repairs or wiring associated with other work to construct, install, and maintain structures, fixtures, and equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance duties including cleaning, inspecting, lubricating.
Checks, adjusts, fits, and modifies parts for repair and replacement.
Examines such items as indicator lights, hand and foot controls, sensing devises, and emergency stop switches.
Uses a wide variety of hand tools, equipment, and instruments in performing maintenance to specifications of wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, blueprints, manuals, schematics and other instructions.
Installs, maintains, dismantles, repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds equipment.
What qualifications will make you successful?

Must have a 2 year technical degree in maintenance, electromechanical, electronic technology, or equivalenteducation

Our basic requirements: The department requires PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), plus Safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor.


* Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment, where prolonged period(s) of standing is required for duration of shift.


* Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, bend, squat, and climb a ladder to perform work.


* Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.
