Pump Technician/Mechanic
Cornell Pump Company is seeking a full-time Pump Technician/Mechanic to work in our Testing Department in the Clackamas OR location.
The hourly pay range for this position is $24.00-$28.00 (DOE)

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will set up testing loops and perform required pump testing per customer specifications.
Interpret testing results before handoff to Engineering and/or Sales.
Assists with research and development of new Cornell products or modifications to existing products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Coordinate and participate in installing pumps into the system by connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments.
* Set up the testing loop and perform required testing per the customer specifications.
* Design and fabricate new test fixtures and loops.
* Executes performance & R&D tests that meet applicable codes and standards.
* Examines parts for conformance with dimensional specifications with Lab tools (calipers, hydraulic templates) or by coordinating with the shop Inspector when necessary.
* Activate and monitor controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject test items to successive steps in the test cycle.
* Communicate test results promptly for review.
* Assists with maintenance of test equipment, instrumentation, and test facility as needed.
* Pump assembly, tear down, and rework.
* Maintain test equipment and the facility.
* Follow all safety precautions and practices safe working habits.
Reports all unsafe conditions and injuries to the supervisor immediately.
