Mill Technician Operator - Las Vegas, NV (166103)

Our Georgia-Pacific Gypsum facility located in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking motivated and safety-oriented individuals to join our Production team.

Position: Mill Tech Operator

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts on days and nights with weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Compensation: Starting compensation is $24

Working Location: 11401 Hwy 91, North Las Vegas, NV 89030

What You Will Do In Your Role


* Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets


* Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems


* Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production


* Understand/adhere to the Lock out Mill process and Mill Fire Boc housekeeping requirements on down days


* Read and understand SOP's and JHA's


* Maintain yard cleanliness, load hoppers with correct material, and clean/clear reject bunkers as needed


* Able to trouble shoot, start up, and shut down Mills during shift especially during scheduled down days


* Perform regular perform/follow testing procedures needed in the lab


* Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area


* Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals


* Operate and/or work around mobile equipment


* Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment


* Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

The Experience You Will Bring

Basic Requirements:


* Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program


* Operate mobile equipment and obtain mobile equipment certification

* Experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing setting


* Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions


* Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device


* Experience operating a WA500/WA600 Loader
